We have reached our goal for the 2021 Holiday Treat Bag Campaign - THANK YOU!

Please join us in supporting our current students of color with the 2021 HOLIDAY TREAT BAG CAMPAIGN using Chamber Dollars. Last year, we were able to provide Chamber Dollars for all Luther students of color and they were very appreciative of the support from alumni! We additionally raised $3,000 for the BAA Scholarship fund. This year, the intent is to repeat our success using Chamber Dollars certificates that can be used at almost every Decorah area business. Students can choose their own favorite Decorah eatery or business just to satisfy their tastes!

The certificates are $25 each* and will be distributed to the students in December. We will also include a personal message of support and encouragement from the Luther College Black Alumni Association. *Five dollars ($5) from each certificate purchased in 2021 will be directed to the Center for Intercultural Engagement and Student Success (CIES) Book Fund (this $5 is tax deductable, but the $20 for the gift certificates is not).

In this season of giving and gratitude, let us make a positive difference in the lives of others. We have over 400 plus students of color, so find it in your heart to donate multiple gift certificates. You may be helping the next CEO of a major corporation or a leader of world peace to make it through finals. As Spike Lee would say, I know you will choose to "DO THE RIGHT THING."
