Description of object: M76 in Perseus is often referred to as the Little Dumbbell Nebula. M27 is the Dumbbell Nebula. M76 is bright enough to be seen in a small telescope but it can be missed quite easily if one is searching with relatively low powers and fails to recognize that the object is non-stellar.
