Dear Classmate:

This is written in the Arizona HEAT during the last week of June.  I am reminded that we have always traveled in the summer to the Midwest, Colorado, or Seattle after retirement in 1996. Margene and I moved to Sun City in 1988 to serve Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church. That next summer of 1989, Phoenix recorded the greatest number of 100°F days ever. You may have also heard of the high of 122°F on June 26th, 1990.  By the time you read this, the weather will be acceptable.
