International students taxes. Please note that you cannot file your tax return until you receive your 1042-S. The college will provide this form to you in March. CIES does not conduct tax workshops, but we do provide the software (GTP) and information that will help you complete your tax return correctly. These are the federal tax instructions; however, remember it is not time to file yet since the 1042-S documents are not ready! CIES will be sending out additional information and reminders about tax filing in March.
Passport Renewal Reminder! Please remember that one of the conditions of your F-1 status is that you maintain a valid passport. You should apply for a new one when the old one is at least 6 months.
Apply for a RAY Conservation or Clean Energy Fellowship by March 27th, 2022! The RAY Fellowship Program aims to increase and facilitate conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy-related career pathways for emerging leaders of color. The RAY Fellowship Program is a two-year paid fellowship designed to equip recent college graduates with the tools, experiences, support, and community they need to become leaders in the conservation and clean energy sectors—one that, in our visions of the future, fully represents, includes, and is led by the diverse communities, perspectives, and experiences of the United States.
