Hello BIPOC students,
We are aware that even though your identity is captured by this acronym, each of you have unique, intersectional identities and that these identities are not always at the forefront of how you conduct your daily life. However, there will be times when one or more of your identities bump up against a particular majority identity and you find yourself experiencing shock and awe. You do not know how to feel and what to do.
CIES is one of the resources available to you for support, understanding, and learning how to respond, advocate for yourself, and be resilient.
