Oct. 12: Conversations with Creatives

You’re invited to a unique and thrilling opportunity.

DJ Spooky (Paul Miller) will visit Luther College campus for a show in the CFL on October 11. The next day, Oct. 12, he’s going to hang out with students, staff, and faculty while responding to creations made by students–individuals or groups. This is your chance to explore ideas, media, research, and activism.

DJ Spooky asked that your projects

"take a look at temperature and climate over the last 200 years. Let’s see what we can do to make patterns out of the data.”

What you can do is take this prompt to think about data and patterns with temp & climate over the last 200 years and design/compose/record/write/build/film something that can be shared in a small gallery space. You can work in any medium or mix. You can work alone or with collaborators.

If you are interested in participating in the October 12th conversation with DJ Spooky, please be in touch with either Professor Merritt or Professor Joyce no later than September 28th.
