Milo Arthur Thompson, 1951

Milo Arthur Thompson passed at age 94 on Oct. 6, 2021. Milo was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Decorah, Iowa, and was the youngest child of Torger and Clara Thompson. Milo served in the Army Air Force in WWII and was wounded in the Philippines in 1945. After his military service, he attended Luther College and then went on to a career in Personnel Management with several federal agencies.

Milo is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jean Thompson, brother Stan and sisters, Doris and Polly. Milo is survived by his only child, Jud Thompson (wife Kara) and grandchildren Jack 26, Luke 22, Nick 20, and Grace 14.

Milo was a 50-year resident of Carmel, living 45 years in Brookshire. Milo’s passion was golf. He was a member at Fox Prairie Golf Club and a proud member of the Fox Prairie Senior Men’s Group.

An event to celebrate his memory took place Oct. 14, 2021, at Twin Lakes Golf Club in Carmel on the back patio. Golf attire was encouraged, the brighter the colors the better. A “Final Tee-Shot” was struck by all those interested in participating.
