And So It Begins!

Greetings from London! We just arrived in England after an uneventful flight from Minneapolis via Iceland. We’re pretty exhausted, but we’re managing to rally, thanks to ample encouragement from our course leaders, Kate and Eric.

Immediately upon arriving, we got our Tube passes and took the Tube to our hotel to drop off our luggage. The Tube can be a bit overwhelming if you’re new to it, but it’s easy to get used to and definitely an integral part of the London experience. Right now, we’re settling in at the Celtic Hotel (an old Luther favorite) and getting ready to explore London.

We’re looking forward to getting an orientation to the city tomorrow, followed by seeing our first play! Just being here is exhilarating, but doing what we came here for--watching and analyzing plays--will be the most enjoyable and rewarding part of our time in England.

Also, just a bit of housekeeping: this is the last post where you’ll be hearing directly from Jamie and Linnea. Our wonderful classmates will be taking turns writing the blogs from here on out. Keep an eye out for updates!
