On Friday, January 13th, we toured the Bob Marley Museum. The tour was so much fun, thanks to our tour guide, Irie Sue, who was very energetic and entertaining. Sadly, we were not able to take pictures of the inside of the museum because of copyright issues. The museum was contained in Bob Marley's former home.

Inside, we were able to see a lot of his awards that he received when he was alive and also experience some of his songs along the tour. We saw his recording studio and also the holes in the wall where he was almost killed. Bob Marley, his wife Rita Marley, and the manager were wounded during a shooting. He traveled all over the world singing his reggae music. He was the first Jamaican artist to achieve international superstardom. Some of us were given the  opportunity to play a Jamaican instrument. The last thing we did was watch a video that put all of his life history and music together. We were able to see how he grew as a musician.

On Saturday, January 14th, we went to the Frenchman's Cove Resort. We had a great time at the  beach. The ocean was clear blue, the sand was white, and around us was green. The waves were very big and strong, but not big enough for surfing. Many of us left with lots of sea water in our system. We were able to eat some good lobster, fish, and drink fresh coconut water later that day. It was a very relaxing day for all of us, even for our professors! On our way back, we saw a big beautiful palace that was owned by a princess  but is now owned by a Jamaican family. Most of us slept on our way back. It was a fun day, but then we realized how exhausting it was after fighting the waves. So far, we are having  fun, productive times in Jamaica.
