We began a more focused discussion regarding liaison relationships with college programs and centers. For many years we have had liaison relationships with academic departments. Some liaison work is already underway with some of the centers and programs. Additional centers and programs were identified to explore a more intentional liaison relationship. We will continue discussion at future meetings.

Rachel is investigating details of a digitization project of one of the Norwegian American newspapers that we have in microfilm format.

We discussed upcoming library displays/events.

The March “Book” Madness favorite book competition is underway. People can participate through Facebook or through a link to a Google form in the blog announcement on the LIS website.

The LIS summer workshop is scheduled for June 3-6, 2013.
