Greetings from Preus!

It’s hard to believe it is August already and before we know it fall and a new school year will be upon us. That is why we would like to seize this opportunity at the library to ask you all what you’ve been reading this summer.

Perhaps you’ve started or finished the Paideia summer reading?

Maybe you’ve found some time to escape into a good novel?

Or have you decided to educate yourself on a particular issue with a good piece or non-fiction?

Whatever you’ve been reading, we would love it if you would share a picture of yourself and your summer reading with us here in Preus as part of a social media campaign and video showing the diverse reading community we have here at Luther College.

To participate you can email your photo to Jennifer Rian ([email protected]) or share it by posting to the Preus Library Facebook page. Please include your full name and the book’s title and author in your submission.

Luther faculty and staff, please list your position and students please indicate your major. If you’d like to include any additional information about your book or why you love reading, that would be fabulous, but it is not required.

Photos will be organized into an album on the Preus Library Facebook page and also used in a compilation video.

Deadline for submission is Wednesday, August 7th 4 p.m.

Share the Reading Love? Enjoy a “Preus Certified” Rootbeer Float
As an incentive to participate, we are inviting people to join us outside of the library between 3-4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7th for a celebratory beverage. If you haven’t shared a picture yet, we’ll have photographers on hand who would love to snap a picture of you and your book! All participants will receive a delicious root beer float in one our our snazzy Preus Certified travel mugs!
