JANET (BAILIE) REMSTAD, resident of Brown Deer, passed away on December 8, 2013, at the age of 82. Dear daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Bailie of Bagley, Wis. Beloved wife for 50 years of the late Robert Remstad. Loving mother of Steven (Cheryl) Remstad of South Lyon, Mich., David (Roberta) Remstad and Susan (Harold) Walker both of Milwaukee. Proud grandmother of Taylor, Victoria, Joseph and Joshua Remstad and Alexander and Maxwell Walker. Dear sister of Clarence (Jean) Bailie of Oregon, Wis., and sister-in-law of Kathy Brown (the late Lee Remstad) of Newbury Park, Calif.; Carl (Linda) Remstad of Boulder, Colo., and Betty Holmes of Lewisville, Tex. Further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, as well as many good friends.

Janet was born on July 13, 1931. She was a graduate of Luther College where she earned her teaching certificate. She enjoyed traveling and working in her garden. Janet loved spending time with her children, their spouses and her six grandchildren who especially gave her tremendous joy.

Family greeted friends and honored Jan's life on January 18, 2014, at Bay Shore Lutheran Church, 1200 East Hampton Road, Whitefish Bay. Memorials in Jan's name may be made to Bay Shore Lutheran Church or the UWM Foundation, for general scholarship support, and mailed to 1440 E. North Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202.
