• Five-Time Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference ‘Coach of the Year’, 2016, 2008, 2004, 2002, 1999
• Inducted into the NCAA Division III National Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame, 2010
• Eight Top 6 team finishes at the NCAA Championships: 3^rd in 2016, 3^rd in 2005, 3^rd in 2004, 4^th in 2007, 4th in 2006, 4^th in 2001, 5^th in 2003, 6^th in 2008
• Eight Top 8 team finishes at the NWCA National Duals: 3^rd in 2006, 4^th in 2005, 5^th in 2007, 5^th in 2003, 6^th in 2008, 7^th in 2004, 7^th in 2014, 8^th in 2002
• Has coached 9 National Champions, 6 National Runner-ups, 57 All-Americans and 61 Academic All-Americans in 24 years
• Has coached 3 NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship recipients and 6 CoSIDA Scholar All-Americans
• Has coached 2 IIAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award Recipients
• Most Winning Coach in Luther College Wrestling history with career record of 297-149-6
• Founder and director of successful Luther Wrestling Camps.  Over 1,000 athletes and 150 coaches attended our on-campus wrestling camps last year
• Rookie ‘Coach of the Year’ nominee by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and Wrestling USA Magazine, 1997
• Served as President of the NCAA Division III National Wrestling Coaches Association, 2012-2015
• Mentor for NWCA Coaches Leadership Program, 2016-Present
• Featured speaker and clinician at numerous events and camps in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, including presenting at the Iowa Wrestling Coaches Association Convention and numerous presentations on building resilience through sport.
