Theory/Composition

In addition to completing the music major core requirements, students who choose to specialize in music theory/composition take courses in counterpoint, analytical techniques, orchestration,electronic music, and composition. Students in this study plan enjoy opportunities to have their own original works performed in public, to interact with other students in the same study plan, and to learn from visiting composers who participate in events on the Luther campus.
