Jazz Orchestra Domestic Tours

Luther College has a longstanding tradition of taking groups of student musicians on tour. Touring is an enriching opportunity for students to cultivate new experiences in which they are challenged to learn actively, live purposefully, and lead courageously. Ensemble tours also offer an opportunity to promote the musical excellence of the Luther College Music Department to audiences both near and far.

Jazz Orchestra, led by Dr. Juan Tony Guzman, tours each year. Jazz Orchestra toured the Midwest in 2019 and was scheduled to travel to Brazil from May 26 through June 12, 2020.  Due to the global health pandemic caused by the coronavirus, that tour was canceled. The group plans to travel again in the spring of 2022.
