Symphony Orchestra Domestic Tours

Luther College has a longstanding tradition of taking groups of student musicians on tour. Touring is an enriching opportunity for students to cultivate new experiences in which they are challenged to learn actively, live purposefully, and lead courageously. Ensemble tours also offer an opportunity to promote the musical excellence of the Luther College Music Department to audiences both near and far.

Symphony Orchestra, led by Dr. Daniel Baldwin, tours each year. Symphony Orchestra traveled abroad to Vienna in 2019 and was scheduled to travel to Texas spring of 2020. Due to the global health pandemic caused by the coronavirus, that tour was canceled. The orchestra plans to travel again in 2022.
