Note: The ROAD Checklist is only for U.S. students who have made their enrollment deposit. International students and U.S. students living abroad need to follow the instructions provided by the International Admissions Office. Transfer students need to follow the instructions provided by the Registrar’s Office, and you can refer to the Transfer Student Checklist.Â
At a Glance Dates and Times
At your ROAD Virtual Registration and Advising session, you will meet your first-year academic advisor. Along with the Registrar’s Office, your advisor will assist you in choosing and registering for your fall semester courses.

Optional Luther College Campus and Decorah Community Exploration DaysÂ
Our optional Bleed Blue Days are designed for you and your family to take another look at the Luther campus and our community now that you are a Norse. View model rooms in our first-year residence halls, make an appointment with our Student Support Services, and explore all that our community has to offer as you prepare to make Decorah your home. It’s time to imagine yourself here!

The Endeavor Together program brings together a small cohort of incoming first-year students in order to share in fellowship and adventure while building community and preparing for college life.
Saturday, August 31
Students will receive more information in July about the move-in process. A note for student-athletes in fall sports: Some of you will have an earlier move-in date; that information will also be sent to you in July.
Saturday, August 31–Saturday, September 7
Welcome Week is designed to help first-year and transfer students make a successful transition into the Luther community. During this orientation experience, you will:
- Learn more about Luther and the college’s academic and community expectations
- Interact in meaningful ways with other new students, faculty, and staff
- Gain tools and knowledge to help students be successful
- Build a community that will support, respect and protect one another

Family Weekend is an ideal time for families to experience Luther College and to explore Decorah. We invite every family to let your student be your host as we gather as a community both on campus and in the surrounding area.

How to get here
If you’re coming by car, search for “Luther College” in your favorite map app. During the academic year, you may use Luther’s shuttle service, which brings students to and from the nearest public transportation locations in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and Rochester, Minnesota. Tickets are available from Luther’s ticket office.
