This series of thirty posters produced collaboratively by a variety of German historical societies sheds light on the European Reformation and its impact up to the present. Topics include Luther’s life, the world of the early sixteenth century, the theology and spread of the Reformation, women in the Reformation period, Luther’s fellow reformers, the global spread of Protestantism, Protestantism in the United States, and more. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

The tradition of commemorating the Reformation and of recognizing the influence of Martin Luther have played a significant role in the history of Luther College. Items selected from the collections of Preus Library, the College Archives, and the Numismatic Collection of the Anthropology Lab represent ways of reflecting on this legacy. Notable items will include 16th century documents of Luther and his contemporaries, our earliest vernacular Bibles and catechisms, documents reflecting on Luther's lasting influence on Luther College, memorabilia from previous Reformation commemoration events. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

Before the Foundations by artist Richard “Skip” McKinstry, is a series of images on paper, based in photography and digital collage, exploring the considered cost of creation, the loss of innocence, free will and God's sovereignty, the struggle to function in a wild and overgrown world separated from its source of life, and redemption. McKinstry says about his work: “I believe that art, like people, provides little theophanies of unique, reflected light (and refracted light), insights into the nature of God.” This exhibit is free and open to the public.

Building on the tradition of Martin Luther and his influence, this exhibit will feature writings by scholars affiliated with Luther College as represented in the collections of Preus Library, the College Archives, and the Numismatic Collection of the Anthropology Lab. Drawn from a broad range of subject areas, the featured items will reflect the continuing influence of the Lutheran tradition on scholarship. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

Sola Scriptura: Biblical Text and Art Celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation is a collection of mixed media art and archival objects from the collection of Sandra Bowden. It contains pieces from a variety of different sources and artists. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
