Lynne Rothrock

A graduate of Luther College (B. A. Music Education/Theatre) and Western Michigan University (M.M. Classical Vocal Performance), Ms. Rothrock has performed as a concert artist at a variety of music and theatre venues around the United States including Birdland (NYC), Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), Davenports Cabaret (Chicago), The Dakota (Minneapolis) and Crown and Anchor (Cape Cod). She has worked for a variety of theatre companies around the country as actress and/or musical director. Ms. Rothrock was one of 30 vocalists selected to attend the prestigious International Cabaret Conference at Yale University and works with Michael Feinstein at the Great American Songbook Foundation.

She has served on the voice faculty of Western Michigan University, Austin Peay University, Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of the Performing Arts, St. Ambrose University, Coe College and Luther College. Ms. Rothrock has been a clinician at the Manhattan Vocal Jazz Festival at Lincoln Center, Brightleaf Music Workshop and has adjudicated for Heritage Music Festivals for 25 years – coaching choral ensembles in every major US city. She was invited to conduct an honor choir for the Association of American Schools in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 2019, conducting singers from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras.

Ms. Rothrock has led song performance masterclasses for arts organizations, universities, Manhattan Concert Productions and the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Conference. She has Estill training from the University of Michigan’s Musical Theatre Department. Ms. Rothrock and her late husband Ron DeWitte, a Blues and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist enjoyed a 15 year career performing together both at home and around the world as headline entertainers on cruise ships, which took them to Australia, Iceland, South America, South Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico and India.
