Opportunities through helping services include being a part of their mentor program, answering crisis lines, helping around the office, and being a part of "Holiday Lights, Magical Nights."

Youth Mentoring Program

• You can be a mentor to a child in the community for the length of the school year or sign up for "Mentor for a Day" events held throughout the school year.

Holiday Lights, Magical Nights

• This event is a major fund raiser and awareness builder for Helping Services for Northeast Iowa. It is a drive-through light display held at the Decorah Campground. HLMN begins Thanksgiving night and has a Thursday-Sunday pattern from 5:30-8:30 p.m. those evenings. HLMN will be open each night Christmas week beginning December 20 through December 26.
