Thank you

"Sometimes it takes a mountain, sometimes a troubled sea;
Sometimes it takes a desert, to get a hold of me.
Your love is so much stronger than whatever troubles me,
Sometimes it takes a mountain, to trust you and believe."

These words have served us well in the past few weeks as we have endured a "bump in the road," that is, coping with Ellen's thyroid cancer diagnosis, surgery and recovery. We wish to express our thanks and gratitude to Luther friends who have offered kind words, thoughts, positive energy and prayers. Thank you, faculty, for the beautiful bouquet of flowers! Also, Bob Harri, we appreciate your accommodating Erik's work schedule in such a way that I was able to have him with me during Rochester appointments. The support that others have offered makes this journey much less difficult, even though Erik is a very good driver! Thank you all and God speed!

-Ellen Drewes-Stoen and Erik Stoen
