Brad Chamberlain served as a mentor at the 2016 Summer Leadership Institute for STEM Faculty that was held July 12-17 in Adamstown, Maryland. The institute, sponsored by Project Kaleidoscope and the Association of American Colleges and Universities, is designed for early and mid-career STEM faculty engaged in leading projects aimed at transforming undergraduate STEM education in their classrooms, departments and institutions.

Andy Hageman presented his paper "Space-Alien Space: The Weird Ecologies of 'Under the Skin'" via video conference at the Defying Genre: Michel Faber Conference hosted by Inverness College UHI in Scotland on Friday, July 22. The conference included Faber as well as fellow scholars.

Xiao Hu and Du Huang recently served as master class presenters and adjudicators at the 2016 Shanghai International Piano Festival and Institute.

The poster "Imagine Walking in Our Shoes" will appear in the 2016 University and College Designers Association show. Jon Lund, Aaron Lurth, Ellen Modersohn and Michael Bartels collaborated to create the award-winning poster for Luther's international recruiting efforts. Just 17 percent of the 1,100 entries in the design competition were chosen for the show. The poster will be on display during the 2016 UCDA Design Conference Sept. 24-27 in San Antonio, Texas.
