Change to stipend request process

Human Resources must now receive requests to pay individuals, often called "stipends" or "honorariums," by the first day of the month for monthly payrolls and by the first day of the pay period for biweekly payrolls. This change is being made to allow Human Resources time to approve or deny the request before any work is performed and to allow Payroll sufficient time to process the request. Please contact <hr> with questions.

January is International Brain Teaser month. Look for the answer to this brain teaser in next week's Tuesday.

"I am the beginning of sorrow and the end of sickness. You cannot express happiness without me yet I am in the midst of crosses. I am always in risk yet never in danger. You may find me in the sun, but I am never out of darkness." What am I?
