Christmas and New Year's holidays

The Luther College campus will be closed Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 25–27, for the Christmas holiday and New Year's Eve holiday. The campus will also be closed Monday, Jan. 1, for the New Year's Holiday.

No Tuesday on Dec. 26

Because the College will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 26, there will be no distribution of the Tuesday on Dec. 26. The next Tuesday will be distributed Tuesday, Jan. 2. Deadline for the Jan. 2 edition is 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29.

Employee wellness J-term and spring first session fitness class registration

Registration is open for new four-week session J-term classes and the first six-week session spring classes of wellness-subsidized employee yoga, pilates, and Tai Chi. WITTY WORDS returns

Vanna is back! Sign up to play WITTY WORDS, starting Monday, Jan 1. This wellness initiative encourages players to get moving and try to solve the phrases given by Vanna. Nordic Choir to go on Midwest and Colorado tour

Luther's Nordic Choir, one of the top college choirs in the nation, closes its Midwest and Colorado tour with a homecoming performance at the CFL at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. The performance by the 73-member Nordic Choir is open to the public with no charge for admission. The concert is part of Nordic Choir's 2018 tour of the Midwest and Colorado, which begins Jan. 27 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and concludes in Decorah Feb. 13. 

Health care notice  

UMR is experiencing a processing issue with flu shot reimbursements for injections done at the Luther College Health Service. As a temporary measure, please send the claims reimbursement form and the receipt to the Luther Human Resources Office, Main 25. HR will submit the claims to a designated representative at UMR. UMR is devising a work-around for this problem but in the meantime this temporary measure will assure that you receive the full $25 reimbursement. Call Marsha, 387-1415, with questions.

Farwell elevator unavailable during Christmas break

A reminder to faculty and staff who use the Farwell elevator, winter break means the residence halls will be closed. Farwell Hall is locked, and will reopen at noon Saturday, Jan. 6.

Going paperless

The Office for Financial Services is in the process of going paperless with the implementation of the Perceptive Content imaging software already used by Alumni, Development and the Education department. How does this impact you? The paper process of approving vendor invoices will transition to an electronic process. Over the next couple months, OFS will train departments and move them to the electronic imaging approval system. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as the college transitions to a paperless process.

Luther soccer winter skills clinic

The Luther College men's and women's soccer programs are offering a winter skills clinic for students kindergarten through eighth grade from 4-6:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, and Jan. 14. The two-day clinic will be held in the Student Recreation Center of the Regents Center. All registrations must be made online by Saturday, Jan. 6, at www.luthersoccercamps.com. For the first time, the soccer programs will offer a mini winter skills clinic for pre-K students from 4-6:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21.
