ANNOUNCEMENTS

Campus closing early Wednesday, Nov. 21

In this season of Thanksgiving, I want to extend to you my heartfelt thanks for all you do for Luther College and for Luther students. Your dedicated work at the college makes a difference for our students and our community every day. Thank you for our work together here at Luther.

In honor of the holiday, offices may close early and staff may leave work at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. Most non-exempt employees scheduled to work eight hours on Wednesday will work six hours and receive two hours of additional pay. Those employees who will have already worked their shift by 3 p.m. or those who must work their full shift because of the nature of their position will be given the option of taking two hours of paid time-off on a different day. If there are any questions, please contact your immediate supervisor or Human Resources.

A special word of thanks to staff working shifts over the long holiday weekend. Many thanks for your care for our students who stay on campus during the break.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I hope you all have an opportunity to pause, reflect and rest before we begin the final weeks of the semester.

Best wishes for this Thanksgiving break.

The general parking areas of the library, Jenson-Noble and city pool lots will be reserved for visitors. The faculty/staff parking area by Valders will be reserved for handicapped parking. Alternative parking includes the roadway from Sampson Hoffland to the main gate, Regents Center and Farwell lots.

Starting at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, through Sunday, Dec. 2, the lots on the east and west side of the CFL will also be designated for handicapped parking only.
