COLLEGE OPERATIONS

Assistance for the Einck and Hunter families

If you're feeling compelled to do something, but aren't quite sure what to do for the Einck and Hunter families, there is a meal train set up for the Einck family and a gas card fund for the Hunter family. We will also take monetary donations to be put towards a scholarship or school-based effort in Karter Einck's name. Gas cards and money can be brought to Julie Shockey Trytten Simiele in Admissions, Ashley Benson in Student Engagement, or Kirk Larsen in biology, or you can Venmo Julie, @JulieShockeyTrytten (please put Hunter/Einck in the subject). If you want more information on how to get a meal to the Einck's please reach out to Julie <julie> or Kirk <larsenkj>.

Also, please take a moment today or tomorrow to come to Admissions and sign a card for the Einck family on behalf of you (and your department) if possible.

Support for Eincks and Hemesaths

An account has also been set up at Viking State Bank for Karter Einck and Dalton Hemesath. The funds raised will be used to help with funeral expenses and/or creating a scholarship in their memory.

Monthly staff meetings in January

The next monthly staff meetings will be held on Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. and Jan. 13 at 9 a.m., in Peace Dining Room. Both meetings will cover the same agenda. All staff are encouraged to come to hear important updates from college leadership and your colleagues. Meeting dates for the year are posted on the Human Resources website.

Vaccination sleeves available

The Document Center now has resealable vaccination sleeves for your cards available.

CEPE continues speaker stipends

The CEPE encourages faculty to connect with expert colleagues and call on them to participate in classes. If you'd like to invite a speaker to Zoom into your class or visit in person (if permitted under the current Alert Level), the CEPE will provide a stipend of $200 for your guest. Make a request for J-Term, Spring Semester, or both.  Email <cepe> to make a request.

Vanna will return for one last time as Wellness invites all current employees to start the new year off with fun. Simply exercise 30 minutes a day doing what you love to do and try to solve the phrases to win prizes! It's that easy!! Email Vanna <jaegervi> for more questions or to sign up. The game begins Jan. 1.
