The Luther College Woman's Club supports students by delivering homemade treats to campus, contributing to student scholarships, and sustaining strong connections between Luther College and the Decorah community.
For 60 years, the Luther College Woman’s Club has been baking homemade cookies, cakes, and special treats for students and delivering them to campus. All proceeds return to Luther College in the form of student scholarships.
The Woman’s Club also hosts monthly programs during the academic year. These programs feature Luther College faculty, emeriti, staff, and occasionally students, as well as community leaders and guests. All are welcome to Woman’s Club programs, which are held on the third Thursday of the month.

In addition to the regular treat program, through which treats can be sent anytime during the academic year, the Woman’s Club also offers two opportunities to purchase special seasonal treats: holiday treat bags, and May Day treat boxes.
Holiday treat bags are sweet relief for students during a busy time of year—delivered the week of Christmas at Luther, right before fall semester finals. The bags are chock full of small snacks and treats to fuel the end-of-semester push: granola bars, sweets, salty snacks, fruit, drink mixes, and even a Christmas ornament. Pre-orders must be placed by early November.
May Day treat boxes are delivered on May 1, during the lead-up to spring semester finals. Local bakers create cakes, cookies, and bars that are specially decorated for spring, which the Woman’s Club members box up with festive flair. Pre-orders must be placed by early April.
Join the Luther College Woman’s Club for monthly meetings and programs on the third Tuesday of each month, 1:30-3:30 p.m. in Peace Dining Room, Dahl Centennial Union. Meetings include music, program, business, and social time with refreshments. A six dollar donation is suggested to help cover the costs of coffee and dessert.
