Carlo A. Sperati (1860-1945) is best known for his development of the Luther College Concert Band. He was a Luther student from 1884 to 1888.
Valders Memorial Hall was the first Million Dollar building on Luther College's campus.
One of the first multipupose time-sharing computer systems on a small college campus was built at Luther in 1973
