Luther College Moment in History #45

September 11, 2001 is a day where most people remember where they were and what they were doing. For those at Luther College, there was shock at the news of the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Many students, staff and faculty watched news reports on televisions in the Union, Hovde Lounge, dorm rooms and other locations on campus. Late in the morning the college received a campus-wide bomb threat and everyone on campus was cleared first from buildings, then from the campus itself as college personnel, security, and state and local law enforcement made sure that the college was not in danger.
