Luther College Moment in History #61

On October 14, 1975, King Olav V visited Luther College as it laid the cornerstone for the Center for Faith and Life, which contained a Norwegian hymnal from His Majesty, an American Lutheran Church Hymnal, a Bible, the center's building program, the student congregation constitution, a copy of The College Chips, a sesquicentennial medal, an issue of the Decorah Newspaper, and a program and tape recording of the day's ceremony. While in Decorah, King Olav V was also the honorary Chairman of the Board of Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum and formally dedicated the restored and remodeled main building of the museum complex.
