Spring 2011

Dear Octogenarians, et alia,

As I write this in February, Decorah is still somewhat snowbound.  Our backyard is solid white with deer tracks here and there.  In front there are mini-mountains created by the many snowfalls that had to be cleared by snowplows and shovels.  A week ago the temperature was twenty below zero.  I guess major storms created problems here and there all over the continental United States, so maybe you “southerners” even had a taste of winter.
