Greetings Fellow ’06 Luther Classmates!

What a year we all had in 2009!  Reading through the list of changes among our classmates makes us realize how far we all have come since that momentous day in May of 2006.  Many of our fellow classmates came together as one in marriage, and some welcomed new ones to the world.  Unfortunately some have departed us far too early.  Many of you know one of the worst tragedies to hit the Western Hemisphere claimed the life of our fellow classmate, Ben Larson. To our disbelief, we watched the footage from Haiti and awaited any news from our classmate and friend.  So many Luther students were touched by Ben’s legacy, and so many of us came together, across the country and even the world, as a true Luther family, to celebrate his life.  Tragedies like Ben’s make us realize what Luther College truly means, and why it is so important to continue to support our Alma Mater.  Without the support of alumni like us, future Luther students may not have the opportunity to be touched by someone like Ben.
