Ardis E. (Knutson) Wenstrand, 88, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on July 2, 2015. Born in Starbuck, Minn., Ardis attended Luther College before she moved to Chicago and married in 1953. She enjoyed her work as a pre-school teacher and lived in Mt. Prospect for over 50 years until her move to the Lutheran Home in 2009. Ardis was a devoted wife and mother and her Christian faith was an example to many. She was the beloved wife of the late W. Curtis Wenstrand. Loving mother of Keith (Karen) Wenstrand, Lynne (Jon) Lamiman and Janet (Chris) Green. Cherished grandmother of Carrie, Ian (Jill) and Eric Wenstrand, Erin (James) McKnight; Tracy and Daniel Lamiman; Wesley and Terrence Green. Devoted great grandmother of Anders and Elise Wenstrand. Preceded in death by her brother Herald Knutson. Survived by her siblings: Phyllis (Knutson) Severson ’55, Ann (Knutson) Rotto ’61, Ken Knutson ’62, Lyle Knutson ’66, and Linda (Knutson) Strand ’66.

Visitation was at Lutheran Home, Chapel of St. John, 800 W. Oakton Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment was at Memory Gardens.
