Michael Duane Gravett passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 16, 2017, at Mercy West Lakes Hospital. He was 55 years old. No services are planned at this time.

Michael was born in Red Oak, Iowa, on May 13, 1961, the son of Roy and Virginia Gravett. He attended Luther College where he received his Bachelor’s degree and was a veteran of the United States Army. Michael married his loving wife whom he adored, Billie Jamieson on July 14, 1991. He owned Gravett Insurance Company for 23 years, and was a successful insurance agent for over 30 years. Michael enjoyed reading, cooking, playing the piano, and going to the casino.

He is survived by his wife, Billie; daughters, Mandy and Stacy; grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Kayla, Sierra, and Alexa; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Jayce, and Macie Mae; his father, and his siblings. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Boeckman.
