Sharon Rochelle (Finberg) Wilkinson 77, of Chandler, Ariz., passed away on June 29, 2016.

Sharon Rochelle Wilkinson was born on Sept. 21, 1938, in Decorah, Iowa, to Elvin O. "Pete" Finberg and Kathleen J. "Kay" McConnell. She graduated from Luther College and the University of Michigan in Library Science. She married Joseph W. Wilkinson in 1964, and they made their permanent home in Tempe, Ariz.

Sharon was long active in the ASU Faculty Wives club and also volunteered at the Tempe Historical Museum. She spent many years working in the King of Glory Church Library and Adult Education programs. Survivors include her husband Joe; brother Robert (Norita) Finberg of Greensboro, N.C.; sons Mark (Yi) Wilkinson of San Francisco, Tod (Jill) Wilkinson of Tempe, Ariz., Eric (Gayle) Wilkinson of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 9, 2016, at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2085 E Southern Avenue, Tempe, with a private burial following. Bueler Mortuary in Chandler was in charge of the arrangements.
