Eleanor (Kline) Ball, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away July 12, 2016, at Genesis Medical Center-West Central Park, Davenport. A memorial service was held July 15, 2016, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport, with Pastor Ron Huber officiating. Burial took place at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Eleanor was born Oct. 30, 1920, in Dubuque. She was an educator for 10 years in Clinton and 29 years with Davenport Schools. She also was involved in other youth activities and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She organized MS fundraisers in the Quad-Cities and was a member of AAUW, including serving as president of the organization. She was the first woman to serve on the Davenport Education Association (DEA) board and was also a member and past president of the Republican Women.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Mark (Cindy) Ball, Thornton, Colo.; granddaughter, Megan (Matt) Rosenbrock ; grandson, Erik Ball; great-granddaughters, Maci and Myla Rosenbrock; brother, Keith (Charlotte) Kline, Davenport, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elden Kline ‘40.
