Norman “Norm” Simondet, age 89, of Mound, Minn., passed away on Dec. 18, 2017. Born in Redwood Falls, Minn. U.S. Army Veteran. Graduated from Luther College. Math teacher for 39 years. Norm loved to garden, watch sports and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Walter Simondet, Doug Simondet ‘48 and Donna (Simondet) Kalnes ‘53. Survived by loving wife of 64 years, Ginny; daughters, Jane (Al) Raeker and Nancy (Paul) Boddicker; grandchildren, Dan (Brooke) Raeker, Laura (Alek) Graham, Sam and Alyssa Boddicker; sister, Carolyn Laufenberger; other relatives and good friends. Memorial service was Dec. 23, 2017, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2116 Commerce Blvd, Mound, MN 55364. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association.
