John Thomas Bond, born Dec. 12, 1932, in Duncombe, Iowa, went home to Heaven on Sept. 13, 2018.

He is survived in death by his wife Laura (nee Smith) of 61 years. John was Preceded in death by his daughter Deborah. John has three children; Stephen Bond, Kristin (Todd) Schultz and Lorri (Mike) Abate. He has nine grandchildren; Ryan, Tabitha, Leah, Evan, Jessica, Austin, Alessandra, Lucca and Briana, five great grandchildren, two sisters; Nancy Gaul of Independence, Iowa, and Delores Runyon of California.

John was a two-year veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1961. He practiced psychiatry in Milwaukee for 35 years and has lived in Ft. Myers, Fla., after retiring 19 years ago.

The family would like to thank the special caregivers at American House-Fort Myers, Advocate Home Health and Hope Hospice for the tender loving care they provided to John.
