Vicki L. (Weber) Kennedy

Vicki L. (Weber) Kennedy, age 64, of Plymouth, Minn., passed away Feb. 3, 2020.

Survived by husband, Ed Kennedy ‘76; son, Matthias J. (Jennifer) Kennedy; daughter, Kathryn M. (Matthew) McPheeters; grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Jackson and James; mother, Joan Weber; brother, Alan (Jill) Weber.

Preceded in death by father, Robert Weber.

Vicki was an incredible wife, loving mother and grandma, good daughter, and forever friend. She excelled in academics and captained the cheerleaders in high school, where she also met her sweetheart Ed. She graduated from Luther College as the top accounting student after completing her studies in three years in Dec. 1976, before marrying Ed on Feb. 12, 1977.

Her first career started in the corporate accounting unit of General Mills in Minneapolis. Soon after, Matt was born in 1978. Several years later she joined the accounting department of Henkel Corporation. There, she rose to Director of Corporate Accounting.

Henkel moved to Philadelphia in 1987 and Vicki turned down a transfer offer, electing to begin her second career, a stay-at-home Mom with young Matt. Katie was born in 1988. Her kids were her priority, and she enjoyed watching them and their friends grow up.

As the kids got older, Vicki provided part time consulting services to a couple small firms and eventually went back into full time accounting for Syngenta. She worked there for many years until retiring to devote more time to her third career – Grandma.

Vicki was very intuitive and instinctive, always aware and knowledgeable of world and political events. She loved to dance and never took herself too seriously. She loved the Food Channel and the challenge of trying out new recipes. She liked things clean – very clean, just like her Mom. While more introvert in nature, she loved a good dinner out with close friends and family. Vicki knew herself. She truly wanted more time.

But her peace is now our comfort.
