Virginia “Ginny” (Schindler) Bergerson, age 78 of Burnsville, Minn., formerly of Bloomington, passed away on April 2, 2020. Preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Lil Schindler. Survived by her husband, Jack; daughter, Karen McDonald; son, Steve (Andrea) Bergerson; grandsons, Taylor Bergerson ‘23, Luke and Gannon McDonald; granddaughters, Kasey McDonald and Ella Bergerson; and brother, Doug Schindler.

Ginny was a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and taught in elementary schools in Hopkins, Richfield and Bloomington. Among other artistic pursuits, she enjoyed creating greeting cards and decorating cakes for the family and others. She and Jack attended numerous athletic and social events that their children and grandchildren participated in. They also traveled the United States as much as possible. Ginny was active on the WELCA and Library Committees at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bloomington. She and Jack loved to play bridge and 500 card games with friends. Ginny was a very compassionate person who expressed her willingness to comfort those in need.
