Roy Eric “Rick” Carlson of Decorah, died March 13, 2021, age 86. Born in Decorah on Jan. 2, 1935, he was the son of Roy ‘26 and Helen Carlson.

Rick is survived by wife, Cynthia (Aal) Carlson ‘63; daughters Erika (Charlie); Angela (Carlson) Arndt ‘88 (Jeff Arndt ‘89); Sarah (Carlson) Priest ‘91 (PJ Priest ‘91); six grandchildren, Chad, Kyle, Thomas, Rachel, Lauren and Logan; brother David Carlson ‘63 (Brenda (Landsgard) Carlson ‘73); brother-in-law Irv Aal ’61 (Beverly); and many nieces and nephews.
