Martha Davis and I, along with approximately 50 others from around the state, attended the 1st annual ILA/ACRL Support Staff Workshop at DMACC/Boone Campus on July 18. We spent a thought-provoking and entertaining morning participating in a workshop on “Colors/Personalities at Work” offered by Buzz Hoffman, who’s on the faculty at DMACC-Ankeny. The afternoon included breakout sessions by library area, as well as sessions on technology in the workplace (presented by our own Ryan Gjerde), searching the web, MLS at a distance, and student supervisory skills. All together an excellent, well-organized day.
