New Sculpture for Center for the Arts

A new stainless steel sculpture has been temporarily situated in front of the Center for the Arts this past week. Created by Edward L. McCullough, renowned sculptor from the Chicago area, the sculpture, called “Meridian II,” was donated to Luther College by the artist. Plans are to pour a circular cement pad for permanent installation of the sculpture later this fall. The wooden sculpture currently located nearby, is to be installed on the pad behind the CFL. Dedication of the McCullough sculpture with the artist in attendance is expected later this year. An additional sculpture by McCullough, “Elegy #10,” has been located in front of Jenson since 1993.
