Library Services Meeting Minutes: April 30, 2012

The group discussed an overview plan for the First-Year Experience liaison assignments and co-curricular and library/academic support partnerships.

Andi reviewed instruction statistics and asked that everybody input any outstanding statistics that they may have for the year. A reminder to include course number, instructors, and Paideia section numbers.

John made a recommendation for purchasing six reference titles electronically through Gale. The group looking at overall print/electronic reference use continues working on a report to be given at a later date.

Andi showed the group a poster with Did You Know facts relating to student research for the Research Symposium. She will follow up about printing and displaying.

Andi is collecting names of all of those who plan on attending the ILA / ACRL Spring Conference on May 25. If anybody is interested in attending, please let her know. We will register with one payment sometime between May 12 – 18.

A plan is being put together for special mugs given during the Research Symposium.

Conversations began regarding liaison assignments and summer reference/librarian presence on campus. These conversations will continue at our next meeting.
