Celebrating Jean Dickman: Opportunities to Share Stories

As most of you know, today is the last day of work for Jean Dickman, Acquisitions Assistant here in Preus Library. Yesterday afternoon we had reception where many of Jean’s friends, colleagues, and family gathered to celebrate her 44+ years of service to Luther College and how much she will be missed here in the library.

As part of yesterday’s reception we had index cards available for people to share a favorite story or memory with Jean to be included in a small scrap book. There was such a flurry of activity and people yesterday, we realize that not everyone who wanted to share a story in this way was able to.

So. . . today at Research Help we have index cards available for anyone in the Luther community to share a “Jean Story.” If you are not able to get over to the library and would still like to share a story or remembrance with Jean, please feel free to comment on this blog post or email me (rianje01) and I will translate your story onto one of the cards.

Happy Last Day at Preus, Jean! The library just won’t be the same without you.
