GARY DALE MIKSCH, 48, died on Monday, October 29, 2012, due to an aortic aneurysm, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Memorial Services were held November 1, 2012, at Point of Grace Church in Waukee, Iowa, and also on November 2, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private burial at a later time. Gary was born on October 8, 1964, in Grand Island, Neb., to Dale and Beverly (Barden) Miksch. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School and Luther College in Decorah. Gary married Lori Dalton on July 22, 1995, and they made their home in West Des Moines. Gary was employed with KeHe Distributors for the past 16 years. He also delivered papers for the Des Moines Register. He was a member of Point of Grace and Journey Churches. Gary will be missed by his wife, Lori Miksch; three sons, Ryan, Joshua, and Andrew Miksch; two daughters, Tessa and Sarah Miksch; father, Dale Miksch of Coon Rapids; and brothers, Scott (Jean) Miksch of Eugene, Ore., and Jeff (Jill) Miksch of LeMars, Iowa. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Miksch. Gary will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
