Jean C. (Mickelberg) Gullickson of Wausau, Wis., formerly of Mauston, peacefully entered her heavenly home on April 2, 2011, after a 10-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease, leaving a lasting legacy of love.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband for nearly 60 years, Gordon P. Gullickson ‘51; children, John (Renee), Kristi (Paul), Jim, Steve, and Mary (Erich); grandchildren, Andrea, Ben, Hailey, Matt, Melissa and Marina; brothers, Lad (Dorothy), and Gordy (Darleen); brother- and sister-in-law, Roland and Carol Gullickson; many nieces and nephews; and especially, Tisha Mickelberg.

Jean is preceded in death by her infant son, Matthew Mark; parents, Les and Nina Mickelberg; brother, RICHARD MICKELBERG ‘58; grandson, Christopher; and mother- and father-in-law R.P. and Gladys Gullickson.

Funeral service was held April 9, 2011, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church with Reverend Roseth officiating. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 203 Schiek Plaza, Rhinelander, WI 54501, or a charity of your choice.
