Luther College Moment in History #20

In 1921, when Oscar Olson became the third President of Luther College, he was the first layman president to be elected at a major church college. His official election as President came in 1923, after having served as the interim president after C.K. Preus’ death in 1921. C.K. Preus had named Olson as the logical nest choice for President in May of that year.
