Luther College’s first president, Laur. Larsen died on March 1, 1915. The funeral procession went from the Main building to First Lutheran Church where the funeral was held. The glass hearse followed a long line of mourners who walked in the snow from the campus to the church. Larsen was 81 years old when he died.
