Dear Classmate,

Recently a letter came from Helen (Peterson) Hustad who lives in Mukilteo, Washington. It was a reminder that we sat next to each other in a number of freshmen classes and some the next year, too. In those years we had compulsory chapel, so our chairs were also next to each other. A monitor would give a check mark of any empty chair in each row. Since my assignment was to announce, “Hymns we Love” on KWLC, she would take down my chair and put it aside. When she missed chapel, her chair (planned) would be missing.
